KNITTED METALLIC CHEVRON STRIPE DRESS

One thing you should know about me is that I absolutely love Christmas! It’s my favourite time of the year. This year, I managed to find my perfect Christmas jumper dress from Asos. There are many reasons I fell in love with it: the knitted fabric and ribbed high neck make this super warm, its loose swing fit makes it comfy and cosy, the stylish chevron pattern makes it bang on trend, and the rainbow coloured metallic detail makes it festive and Christmassy. As an added bonus, the tinsel thread is only on the outside of the dress, meaning none of the skin itching you often get with anything metallic or glittery. I’ve already worn it a couple of times and love it so much. It’s going to be getting plenty of wear now that we’re in December. Speaking of, I can’t believe how quick Christmas is coming around. I haven’t really started my Christmas shopping yet, which is very unlike me. I’m normally totally prepared and organised. I don’t know what’s up with me this year. I’m planning on going into Manchester this week to try and get some done.

Anyway, back to this merry little outfit. I’ve shown my knitted swing dress with two different pairs of boots. I love it with the damson velvet boots because the beautiful colour is complimented perfectly by the multi coloured tinsel, and they add to the festiveness of the look. Especially so with the matching faux fur cuffs, yet another pair I got from Boohoo. I’ve also worn it with over the knee black suede boots, which I think pair really well for an alternative style choice. I feel so bad that I keep showing the velvet boots when they’re sold out, so I wanted to show a different option that I equally love. On a related side note, I have noticed that Asos have had the damson boots available in a couple of sizes but they quickly sell out again, so it’s worth checking if you’re really wanting them.

I’d also like to officially introduce you to my baby girl, Angel. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have already seen lots of her. She always wants to be in my photos, so I decided to include her for this outfit. She loves Christmas as much as I do. She gets all excited and giddy for her Christmas presents, which yes I do wrap for her so she feels included with everyone else when we’re opening them. And I always let her have a small Christmas dinner with us. She’s far too greedy and goes crazy when there’s a Sunday roast, or any kind of meat being cooked for that matter. She’s the sweetest little dog ever, and I don’t know what I’d do without her. She’s looked after me so much over the last few years; she means everything to me and Lance. We spoil her.

This dress is really getting me in the Christmas mood, and I know it will continue to get worn throughout the winter months as it keeps me so warm and comfy. All I need is this outfit, a big mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a huge dollop of whipped cream, a Christmas movie on TV and Angel cuddled up to me and I am one very happy girl.
