LITTLE RED DRESS AND GOLD HEELED BOOTS

Everybody loves a little black dress; known for coming to the rescue in those ever occurring ‘I have nothing to wear’ situations. Personally, I’m also partial to a good little red dress too. As much as I love wearing black, I tend to find myself drawn towards more colourful, printed and bolder pieces. The great thing about this dress is that it satisfies my thirst for colour whilst being simple enough to offer versatility. The classic shift shape means it won’t go out of style, and its plain yet bold colour means I can style it pretty much however I want whilst still having it brighten up my look. I’ve always been fond of the colour red. Not only do I find it glamorous, but because of my blonde hair I usually suit it quite well. What drew me to this particular red dress were the gorgeous flared sleeves which I love and the on point turtle neckline. My camera struggled to capture just how beautiful the colour is, but it’s very much rouge red. The perfect colour to wear over Christmas.

I’ve paired this mini dress with my patchwork shoulder bag from Asos. I love this bag so much. It’s my dream 70s style bag with suede and leather patches and a delicate gold chain. It’s the ideal size to make it usable for both day and night. The black snake print ankle boots I’m wearing are from Topshop. I have this same boot in patent tortoise that I got back in September and they are seriously the comfiest boots I’ve ever worn. A couple of weeks ago I saw that Topshop had brought the same boots out in 3 new styles, all of which I want, including these. I can’t believe how amazing they are and only £36. The gold heel was too much for me to handle! I had to get them. I’m still learning how to walk in heels again, and these are just so comfy and easy to wear. I want to wear them with everything. I clearly have an obsession/slight addiction to boots. I’ve bought a few new pairs in just the last couple of weeks and I now have to figure out which to keep and how the hell to pay for them. It’s becoming a problem, especially as I have absolutely no room left for any of my new ones. But I digress. To compliment the gold heel of these incredible boots and the strap of my bag I opted for gold jewellery to complete my outfit. I wore this out for a meal with my boyfriend at weekend. It’s such a cute dress and my boots got a lot of compliments. Now if only I could get the other 2 styles from Topshop as well.
