WELCOME BACK

Well, it’s been a while. I suppose I should start with a bit of an explanation as to why it’s been so long. It has literally been over a year since I last posted, and it was a hard year for me, not gonna lie. Not long after my last post, I had a really bad flare up of my Fibromyalgia after getting ill with the flu. Whenever I get ill, the infection has a bad impact on my pain, but this particular bout of horrid flu really messed me up. It took quite a few months and a lot of physio to recover. Pain is still a constant, daily struggle for me, but I’ve carried on with the physio and it’s really helped. I definitely recommend to anyone with pain or movement issues, it’s just a matter of finding the right physiotherapist for you.

Anyway, despite getting the pain back under control, I started a new job with more hours. And although I could finally handle it pain wise, it was then the tiredness and exhaustion that I suffer from as part of my condition that just made it impossible to do anything other than work. My days off are usually spent in bed resting and recovering, which leaves very little time to worry about blogging. But I’ve wanted to get back into it for such a long time. I finally feel like I have things under control and can make a go of it again.

FRESH STARTS

Well hello there,

It’s been far too long since my last blog post, and I have my own personal reasons for that which I won’t bore you with. But after a much needed break I’m finally hoping to get back into the blogging swing of things (if you’ll still have me, of course).

It’s a new year, and that always gets me thinking about fresh starts and making changes. People use the beginning of a new year to mark a start of something new, they use it to make the changes they’ve longed to make but haven’t had the courage or determination to do. I’m exactly the same, and blogging again is one major resolution for me this year. But when 2017 was approaching, I found myself more focused on everything I’d achieved in 2016, instead of just the changes I hoped to make.

ALL WRAPPED UP

This time of year is my absolute favourite. There are so many things that make me happy for the autumn, but the best thing, other than the fact we’re officially in the run up to Christmas (yay!!), has got to be the fashion. The layering, chunky knitwear, the rich colour palette and the mix of beautiful textures, it all just makes me giddy with excitement.  I have to admit, I go a little bit crazy for all of the amazing goodness that fills the shops for the A/W season and I end up wanting everything! And for me there’s nothing better than the pitiful UK summer of the weather not being able to make its mind up finally coming to an end and the colder temperatures kicking in, making way for all of the gorgeous coats to get wrapped up in.

THE COMFIEST TREND AROUND

Yep, I am seriously late to the party, but I am officially a convert to the pyjama trend everyone’s been loving. I always thought it wasn’t really for me and not something I could pull off, despite looking great on others, but that’s definitely changed now. It was one dress in particular that was responsible for my conversion. I had seen and immediately loved it whilst aimlessly scrolling through Asos, as you do, but I added it to my saved items and sadly forgot all about it and its cuteness. It was only when my birthday came around in July that I remembered.
